... how much I have spent on my car since I bought it in February, and the total bill comes to about £700 - and I haven't even done much to it!

What I don't understand is Patrick, why didn't you just buy a 1.6 Sport and do all the engine mods to that? Was it an insurance issue or something?

So far this year I have spent about £3000. And this year I have been taking it easy!

I'd say £1500 of that has been on repairs or replacement from theft though!
