This question appeared last week somewhen. My reversing lights do not work and it is not the bulbs (replaced with same type from other car), not fuse (replaced with a working one).

Someone said that the switch only costs about £10 but I am a complete novice when it comes to engines. Is it easy to get to the switch under the bonnet or will i have to get under it? Also what is it I am looking for when I do get to the right area in the engine compartment?

Same thing has happened to mine. It should be the reverse light switch, on top of the gear box. If you have a haynes, follow that. The switch is only £12 from vaux

Is ur ciggy lighter working? If not, it will be your fuse, as they run on the same loom.

Otherwise its the switch, as above

bout £4/£5 from a reputable non-vauxhall dealer

Mine went the other week - as long as u have a deep enough socket set - ity'll take u about 1 minute to do - and its on the front of the gear box - right ahnd side of the engine when ur facing it with the bonet up - it haas a cable running into it - which u disconnect inorder to retrct the switch

Dont have a factory fitted cigarette lighter in the car, fitted one myself not too long ago but am just using a fuse that was spare and added it to the wire so not running it from the fusebox at all so cant do that test. I'll look for the switch and test it if I can.

Dont have a glove box light, dont even have a cover on the glove box. It is the most basic Corsa you can possible get!
