Going to be meshing my bumper, but i'de like the mesh to be black, to match the PVD mesh grill. Should I use primer on the mesh before spraying?
Cheers

That surprises me! Hammerite is usually VERY hard wearing paint.

Like Icy advised im gonna use black hammerite spray
If it comes off then I'll have to get some black mesh, but like MikeH said, hammerite is pretty tough

Get Smoothrite, its the same stuff but with a smooth finnish. The hammered finish isn't flexible and on something like mesh which will have some "give" in it, it'll be likely to crack and peel off.

I painted builders merchants mesh about 18 months ago with hammeright and a paint brush. Its not chipped or cracked of, is still fine. Using spray isn't ideal as most of it will just pass through the gaps and wont get in all the joins etc.
