At the end of the day, as long as it flows more than an OE filter, thats good. I reccomend a K&N panel filter personally.

foam filters have a tendancy to deteriorate after time and it sucks bits of foam into the inlet
cotton ones dont

i bought the pvd one simply because it was the cheapest.

but they use a courier for deliveries thats why the extra cost
there is no noticable difference between foam or cotton panel filters

K & N with drilled air box sounds sweet on my GSI, turns heads when you give it some at 3000rpm upwards

Take any pipes in your airbox out!
Velos said they've seen 3-4bhp on their rollers from just removing the pipe in the top of the box!

They just said that they took the top pipe out of the air box on a few vaux's and saw increse's in power of 3-4bhp when they plonked the car back on the rollers!
They would of only been talking about 1.4/1.6 16v engines though.

disconnect the intake pipe from the airbox (the one going to the throttlebody)
take the top of the box off and look on the underside and you will see a pipe
remove it

Just push it out from the inside then? where does the air pipe go to when you've taken that off then cos the jubilee clip goes round that? Or am i just in totally the wrong place?
