It's been a while (understatement!) but my little toy is now back on the road. For those of you who don't know me, it's a 1.6 engine on throttle bodies producing 214bhp at 8450rpm and 146ft/lb of torque at 6100rpm - 250bhp per tonne . Some cnut wrote it off last autumn, but his insurers had to fork out for a complete re-shell (there is a God after all!) I'm going to try and get a little mpeg done, because there's no way to describe the sound when it's booted. But in the meantime, here are some pics....
BTW - rear is coming down 30mm as soon as the springs arrive just in case any asks. (stripping it out severely lightened the back lol)

The dash has been flocked - it makes the join between the cage (which goes right through to front turrets) and dash neater. It's what the rally boys do to stop reflections as well.
Chris - no sounds in this car other than a very sweet engine

BTW - note the lightweight battery - weighs less than 6kgs - saved me over 9kgs in weight out of the engine bay but still turns out 685 amp hours of cranking power

Matt - how ya doin? The brace goes on either way round, but yes, well spotted! TBH, the brace is cosmetic now I've got the full cage in.
3corsameal - got some lightweight additions coming soon (new bonnet with sealed flow to TBs), so I'll be doing handles and lock when that's sprayed

Adam - I'm using Wilwood midilite 4-pots and 284 discs - superb stopping action and pedal feel. Still have standard drums on the rear - the braking seems perfect. I was thinking of putting rear discs on, until someoen explained that under very hard braking with 4-pots, more weight is transferred to the front away from the rear, which means that the rear brakes have even less to do - so I didn't bother

Stats
0-60 - 6.04 (Datron GPS timed) but that was last year when she weighed 60kgs more and didn't have a plate diff. Am hoping for some mid 5s now.
Standing quarter (again last year) 14.74 at 100.3mph

Adam - yeah, get the bias checked. Also check the front tie bar bushess and tie bar to chassis bushes if you have them. Any wear and the car will squirm under heavy braking
Daimo - 855kgs
