Went to Vauxhall last night talking about a new car and started talking about part exchange. Would never do part exchange as I knew I wouldn't get much from Vauxhall.

Anyway, the sales bloke got the manager to look over it and they were on the phone for ages, comes back and says "its not good I'm afraid" "We wouldn't sell a car like this on our forecourt as it would only appeal to one kind of buyer so would have to go trade. Therefore we can only offer you £1000 for part exchange" I didn't know whether to laugh, cry or smack him for taking the damn right piss! X-reg, 31,000 miles, fsh, spot less, 1000's spent!

Probably gonna keep the car anyway. Wanna do more things with it, but when I get my new car I expect the Corsa will be pushed aside sadly.

I would of just prefered them to say, sorry we are not interested in part exchanging your car instead of giving me the little respect of offering me £1000. Now that is a piss take!

surely they offered u only £1k, because "My car is now in the process of a full make over. It WILL look nice when done"

Vauxhall gave me £5850 for my 51 plate Black sxi with Air con and 32k miles. I saw it on the forecourt a short time after for £6995, it was an ex driving school car that needed 2 new front tyres and had just had a dodgy repair job done on the boot i feel sorry for the person who bought it

Why does what I do bother/entertain you so much?

If I keep the car it is likely that I will go for a 2.0 16v conversion, not a new one as I realise how un cost effective that would be.

But in all honesty what I do has nothing to do with you or anybody else for that matter!

Not posting up what car I'm getting as I realise how all of you will react but I am taking it for a test drive tonight and if I like will be putting a £1k deposit down immediately after.

WFT are u on about u dimwit. Last everyone heard u was putting a brand new 2.0litre in!!!!!!!! U can't expect to keep saying im gonna do this and do that and do this, then not dfo anyof it, and expect not to ahve people take the p1ss. If ur gonna do summit and say it, then do it.
