Ive started having these popups while im on the internet, they pop up every 5mins and is starting to do my head in now! They even pop up when i have nothing open in my taskbar!
One of the popups was advertising this website http://www.endads.com/
Anyone know how to get rid of these windows popups with out spending £17 to get rid of them.
Thanks

You use Kazaa? Kazaa Lite at all Welsh? I had this problem ages ago and im trying to think how I sorted it.
Does it say system message or something? When it pops up ctrl+alt+del it and find out what process it is. (cmd.exe or something I think) Leave the pop up open when u do it so the process it is will be highlighted.

Aarrgghh, should make this an FAQ...
Click Start > Run
Type services.msc and press enter
Find 'Messenger' on the list
Right-click > Properties
Click 'Stop'
Change Start-up type to 'Manual'
Ok the window
Thank Trotty and stick him a £5 in the post

Andy - when you say pop-ups I assume you mean the advert type?
The above solution only stop those network-type pop-up messages - e.g.

To stop the more common advert-based ones you'd need to download a pop-up stopper - there's quite a few different types about.
Try this...
