Put some in this morning, but they seem to have really obvious bright spots. Is it true that if you use some wet and dry and rough up the ends it will spread the light more, and reduce the intensity of the bright spot?

Yes, it'll act as a diffuser to a certain extent. See how it look in the dark.

u jus undo the normal bulbs and put in the new ones which r jus the same

Yeah I've noticed a few bright spots at led..
So use wet and dry on the bulb? rough em up a bit....?
Top part of speedo..70mph bit still in the dark virtually...

I ended up putting something like 25 LED's in my dash before I was happy with it. I even managed to keep the red markings on the redline, low fuel and high temp! I'd take some photos for you but I have sold the car now.
