been offered a 205 and a grand for my car.
the 205 is a 1.9 in a 1.6, with straight through exhaust, rally cams, a few other tuned bits n a immobiliser.
its real fast, only thing i've witnessed him race was a 2.0 206gti (think theyre 2.0?) and it kicked its ass easy
where as i bought my car for 2100, and with the mods ive done its about 800, so basically i'm doing a straight swap for the cars.
the 205 is so fast and has the 1.9alloys (lush), but its old and doesnt tick over. whereas my car is clean but slow
any suggestions?
ps, if i bought the 205 i could pay off most of my car loan
205
mine

Its like that with most older cars though...the risk u take unfortunatley...
I would go with the 205 if I had a 1.4 or below...as the performace gain would be worth the risk of breakdown..if I had a 1.6 though i wouldnt bother...
In your situation I would sell your car yourself and buy the 205 off him cash...

I decided not to do it as i would be losing out, hes keeping it for a couple of months so i might buy it later, i love the looks of a corsa but they're so slow compared to rival hatches dont know what to do

Yes you are right. It does not idle without prompt of the acceleration pedal.

i got paid today, so im gonna take the car to the garage sometime in the next coupla a weeks. Dunno what im gonna do without it! Why not go for a 1.8 or 2.0 if you are gonna go for a conversion anyway? I know insurance will be more, but it might work out cheaper and more fun in the long term. I've definately got a 2.0 16v in mind in a year or 2.
