Oh dear,
I have been holding back this post but its starting to become a reality now
Got caught speeding for 2nd time in my 1st year of driving.
yep that means all 6 points have been used and abused.
Had to send off the letter yesterday with "yes it was me driving officer!"
I wrote a letter with it explaining my situation how I need to drive.
Which just included my work and evening education how this will be effected. But ready to bite the bullet. End of the day i was in the wrong
and what speed you ask? 44mph in 30.....
from one of thos mobile vans hiding behind a tree with a police sticker as small as a football sticker on it

It is so easy to put your foot down and not even notice.
Sorry to hear your bad news mate
When i took my test two years ago, you could re-take your test and claim your unused 6 points; i'd look into this mate. If you have been driving around for a year or so then it shouldn't really be that hard to get through your test again, you'll just have to get rid of those bad habits for 45 minutes whilst on your test
Good Luck

yeah well all it takes is a lapse. say need to get somewhere quickly or just keeping up with the traffic ahead. yep no excuse whatsoever in my case i know but its easily done. how many times do you find you stay @ 70 on the motorway?? ay? exactly average speed is prob 80mph for most people.

Anyone on here who says they have never exceed a 30mph speed limit is a lying bastard! It is easy to do 40+ish in a 30 zone, for instance if it's really late at night/really early in the morning and no-one is about.
It's people that do ridiculous speeds in a 30 zone, especially during the day and outside a school etc. that the cops should be targeting - not everyone that happens to do more than 33mph!

Sam am with you on that...
but 30mph limit means 30 not 40 in the eyes of the law

It's all very well and good for people to jump on the "you're a wanker for speeding in a 30 zone" bandwagon, but I can guarantee you there is no one on here or in general who can hand on heart say they have never sped before.
I reckon they should have some kind of variable speed limit thing in this country, so like say for instance during the day between 8am-8pm the limit is 30, any other time it's 40, or something like that.

I disagree. It depends on the circumstances/situation I guess.

So, have you never been over the speed limit during your driving history then?

We all have but what goes around comes around. I'm doing more trackdays now and sticking to the limit on the road. Can't afford the insurance with points and more importantly I'd like to drive like a cunt without risking innocent people's lifes etc

Are you the T0sser that overtook a learner driver on a single carriageway 30mph road and then claimed that the learner tried to speed up just to wind you up?

thats not what i said, if you get caught then your deserve it
limits are there to stop people getting carried away, otherwise you'll get little jimmy (who doesnt know who Uday is, or who shot him) in his clapped out fiesta barrelling thru some street at break neck speeds & totally outta control.
limits keep people at the speed & under control

I have gotta say that even on my driving test i was speeding and the examiner said he was going to pass me anyways because i was a careful driver etc etc - i.e. only speeding on open roads. He gave me 2 marks in one of the speed boxes (minor faults.)
I bet this rik guy is one of those people who gets pissed off when they are stuck behind you when you are at the speed limit and then illegally overtakes at about 40 on a 30 road. Hehehehe.

Some of the time though, if you religiously stick to the speed limit, you get quite a few people trying to overtake you etc. to go faster.
I want to buy some new wings for my Astra, so that coupled with my jet engine, I can fly everywhere instead of driving on shitty, public roads.
