just been driving home from work, to tired to give the car some stick so i poodle alonge within the limits for a change.
then eveything goes windows xp on me and goes nuts!
all i did was go over a draing cover at 30 hardly a tasking situation for the car and this happened:
1= Speedo drops to 0 then to 50 then to 0
2= ecu light comes on
3= power steering shuts down
4= car judders as if about to stall yet revs are still reading 2.7k revs in 4th gear.
5= speedo returns to normal, ecu light goes off the car returns to normal.
6 = stereo turns off then comes back on with the memory cleared.
now this all hapened within 5 seconds, but in them 5 seconds i was on the otherside of the road heading towards a parked up lorry tanked up with petrol.
ive noticed the cars been juddery when you rev it. like its stalling but some vaux spanner said it was cause of the heat. (LAAAIR!)
im gonna look at the spark plugs n ignotion coil today. cause i think its cause the sparks have had 20.000 miles on em.
just shit myself when the car cut out. nothing i can think of could cause this.
got any ideas?

check your battery terminals for browny gunk. Make sure they are clean and havent dissolved like they did on my old corsa.
