I was driving along minding my own business when i get cut up at a roundabout by a mk4 orion/escort type thing I kept my cool and did not drive like an idiot and get up his arse
I then went round two roundabouts with the escort in front of me and onto a long straight piece of road he suddenly kept tapping his brakes and then he really slammed them on so i dropped a gear and flew round him
Next thing you know guess wot i'm bein followed and when i stop in traffic not meaning to be too obvious i glanced in my wing mirror to see if it was the same escort as i did a badge similar to that of a police badge was flashed at me by the driver and he grinned i carried on driving he carried on following i went through a retail park and he was still behind me.
So at the next roundabout i put my foot down and went of down the A12 thats the last i saw of him i'm really not sure wot it was all about if it was old bill and y

I'm pretty sure that if they are gona pull you over that they have to do it within a 1/4 of a mile of following you, could be wrong though RA

I got followed (chased) for 0.6 miles on the motorway at 100mph before they pulled me over and read me the riot act. So the 1/4 mile thing is not true.

Ive been followed for miles then pulled, the other day they followed me from Garston to the M10 (probably 6-7 miles) sitting right behind me, and as soon as i turned onto the motorway they tugged me

you get followed before you get pulled over because they are checking plates etc to check who owner is and to see if it is stolen etc.
he was the one driving like a muppet so you seem to have done nothing wrong.
chances are, if he is driving like an idiot and flashing a badge around, it is not a real police officer
