my comp keeps getting slow every few months. I usually get pissed off with it and re-format. Is there a reason for this?

Try freein up some disk space, running less programs in the background, defrag etc. My prob is that i install too much, and then hav 2 re-format cause the registry just gets filled with crap. Soz if dis don't make much sec cause i'm sorta on eBay, on the fone & on dis forum.

Defragment your hard drives every 2-3 weeks, keep a file-maintenance program running which can monitor unused programs or improperly-uninstalled programs, run an anti-adware program, clear your Temporary Internet Files often...
Defragmentation programs comes as standard with Windows, I use System Mechanic for file-maintenance and suchlike, and Ad-Aware6 for anti-adware.

A poorly fragmented HD is generally the least of PC-headache worries.
Poorly-written software is to blame most of the time - why update hardware drivers if they worked perfectly fine before???
