My cambelt snapped about a year ago and although I paid shitloads to get it repaired its never been the same since, and is currently running like a bag of knackers. So I'm gonna be getting a 1.6 16valve lump which I intend to modify, inlet manifold cams etc, as the insurance on a 2.0l would be a bit much at the minute.
What else would I need to upgrade when carrying out the swop?
Thanks in advance

Just brakes, best getting astra GTE or vectral v6 ones.
Dont know if gearboxes are different.
Anti-roll bars may be thicker on 1.6 if you want to fit them too.
You can get your block bored to 1.6, especially if your changing the cams and getting the head ported, just get some pocketed pistons, crank and con-rods aswell.

Just de-restricted it, got 147bhp
Inlet manifold, sealed induction kit, de-cat, DTA race spec management and ARP con rod bolts to allow a 7500rpm limit.
Cost approx £2000.
Thinking about spending another £2000 at Velos to get the cams, head and pistons done for 191bhp.
That time was with me camping equipment in and 1/4 tank of petty, also got air con weighing me down.
