thing being is that i've be complaining over here for ages that there is no RR setup's except for bloody bikes (business oppurtunity if i ever seen one)
anyhow there is this scooby guy coming over for a weekend to do remap's for the scooby battalion that frequents over here
but i'd thought u need a RR to get it sorted proerly
the geezer is charging:-
£400 for a remap on existing ECU's
£1100 for replacement ECU & remap
are they being taken for a ride??

he'll probs have a mobile RR and i would have to say that this most likely is what he is doing

seen a mobile one at crail and it seems well dodgy looking

R/R's and the operating equipment are simple too huge to have a mobile one, he will run the car and log everything on a laptop on the road, and rempan then drive again then remap etc.. on public roads till it's sorted.

you do get mobile ones. however what he will be doingis real time mapping. using the lambda value.

Is this Steve Simpson you're talking about? I've heard he's very experienced at mapping of Scoobs, but tends to concentrate on things like anti-lag, electronic diff settings, dual fuel maps and the like. How accurately you can map for absolute power on a NA car without access to a RR I'm not sure...
