PGTF with those that think the Type-R handles SO GOOD, what a load of dog shit.
The Astra GSi was as fast as the Type-R around the track and faster on the straights.
I was very happy with this.
Did anyone else see them racing?

Yes, I was there.
I particually loved watching the Type-R trying his hardest to get past around the bends, pathetic.
I also loved all the Novas going around, that was wicked

CTR's do handle really well, they may not be the best handling car on the road but u can't say they do not handle well, and with a bit more lowering and harder dampers will be a great car round track.
u also have to remember on a track iti s very driver dependent how a car goes round.

Yes, they do handle well. But you hear more about how wonderfull the CTR 's handling is compared with other cars.
I feel the motoring press have no clue what-so-ever.
I really want an Astra GSi Turbo

Sorry to break this to you OJC, but 1 of the rules they had to agree to was 'no overtaking on corners or going into corners'
I'm not commenting on the handling of either as I didn't see them going around. But basically if a car went way off the line and slowed right down leaving a big gap for a car to get past, the car behind would have to just sit and wait till the straight!

Yes, Astra GSi VERY UNDER-RATED
CTR is not over-rated, everyone with a brain knows its not as good as people make out. Just the motoring press seem to have wet dreams about them.

Yes, but he was not even following the Astra GSi's line around the bends, he was slipping out sidewards indicating that the Astra had better handling. And once around the bend the Astra pulled away.

Yes, but IMO the Astra looks better, and going by yesterdays results I would say the Astra also has better handling and is faster on the straights.
