Right i have got a corsa 1.2ls insured with budget insurance for £1200 and a named driver. im only 17 so that takes the piss for starts. I haven told them its got alloys cos they won't insure me.
Like every lad my adge we want 2 mod up are motors, to look the dogs. but these bastards called insurance companies wont let this happen. they wont let me insure a car with a bodykit and alloys, and if they do it well into the 2k mark.
Wot does every1 else do???
dont tell the insurance company, wot do i do!!!!

easy... jsut dont drive fast and wreckless, and watch out for other people that might hit you...
if you do have an accident, quickly rip all the bits and pieces off and pretend your car is standard

Bit hard, when I have no door strips, no boot badges, no standard alloys....etc...
OH well I will change insurance group next year and then claim them.... (maybe)

why not
another suggestion is when you crash, run!
then when the police and insurance call you, say that TWOCer stole your car and put all the mods on themselves

some insurance people let you off though... my mate's mate had a crash and the insurance guy said "i'll give you 10 mins to change the air filter back to standard" lucky bar steward!

or just declare em, my insurance company haven't charged me any extra for having non standard bigger alloys and having a spoiler and dash converison, they won't be upping it very much when I lower it either.

^ Correct - Its all about shopping about and getting a modification-friendly copmany like CIS to insure you. If you shose CIS, the 35% pass-plus discount is well worth the extra lessons for £80 and three lessons got me motorway experience, saw the sights and saved me £300!
