Hey people.
If you have bought Maxpower this month you will have seen the advert for "Best Modified car club of the year". Well i thought it would be a cracking idea to enter CS into this. I asked Ian last night, he wasn't too keen untill i find out more info.
I rang Millsy @ Maxpower today, to ask him all the info.
He said:
"We are kinda wanting to try and build up a relationship with all the different clubs out there", and so far CS hasn't had too much to do with maxpower.
They want us (someone from here, either Tim or Ian) to write to them or send a CD etc etc which tells them about CS.
Heres what they want to know:
What CS gets up to. for example, events, shows, RR days, meets, days out etc..
What service we provide.
What members recive when they join. (premium members)
They will do a two page spread on the car club. A different one each month. (SSC have already handed their CD in)
IMPORTANT BIT
They want to do the shoot on the 10 BEST/TOP CARS OF THE SITE.
Which leads me to this:
Who do you think should be on this Top 10 list?????

Who would you say are the Top 10 cars??? They need all this in within 2 weeks.  so please can we have a serious think about this.

damn im pretty sure mine will be close to top 10 material when it comes out the bodyshop,only thing is its going in on monday and will be in for 2weeks!!

Only thing i would question is do you want links of this site with the maxpower way of modifying lol. But it is free advertising and obviously could include that we have cars at maxlive, so next year if we make the site known, could have more cars at maxlive etc.

think you should also point out that there are a lot of members with other cars too. not in the top ten but at least mention that CS pulls together people with different cars

i think that there should b 3/4 cars to show ice and 4/5 to show body work etc shows we have bits of everything on the site

Its worth 10k if you were selling things and could bring that back through increased exposure.
I'm dubious whether we'd see benefits from advertising to 100,000 bedroom porn fiends.
I also don't think we'll win, depends what 'model' of club they're after rather. There are some that do more event-wise, there are some that ask for more from the car side of things; 200+ etc. and there are some with better marketing, publicity and loyalty from members.
Don't know if anyone is doing it all though....
