Right i've decided to go for a new engine next year before i do anything more on the styling front.I have to wait for my warrenty to run out but when it does i'm gonna get things moving

I need help sourcing an engine though,AND i need some opinions on which one to get

I've decided that CossVaux are the company i'm gonna choose BTW to do the conversion.I need advantages and disadvantages of any engine mentioned also.

Insurance might become a problem but until it is here goes...The choices..

2L (New MK4 Astra engine)
2L XE
2L LET
2.5L V6
2.6L V6

I need to find places that sell these engines too.

The advantages of the V6's will be the Throttle as i think they run on the drive by wire system like mine.Mine can be done to take a cable one as per the XE and the LET.Tuning the new engine is not an immediate possibility so TB's on the XE are not a good idea.

I have heard a few people disagreing with the old 'New car Old engine' thing but this does not bother me.

Oh and before anyone sais it i am not going to sell it and get somthing with a bigger engine,this means i will lose too much money and will end up being in debt more than i am now.

leave the car looks as it is and stick a LET in it, will be a proper sleeper then

Errrrrmmmm to be honest mate i aint heard a bad thing about them...

Few off here have had work done by them..Stuey etc

Courtenay are too expensive but Quality.

Regal heard to many things about them BUT one of the lads off Astra sport has had loads of work done on his Coupe Turbo by them and he has had no problems.

Tough choice really but CossVaux still stands Oh and they have already put a LET in a MK4 A now very fast MK4

Yes mark you can..

I bought a 5 door because at the time the car was only 8 months old and i got it for 4K below the list price.It was in the colour i liked best and there are more 3 door modded Astra's than 5 doors.

i think it looks cool for a 5 door - but how about LM styling for conversion, thats the only company i aint heard a bad thing about

hye the 5 door looks ok mate and i vote the LET engine,b a street sleeper than cna cain anything, ask cossvaux to see iof they can source u a let engine. also look im migweb, there are 2 for sale on there

lm styling - Lee Mitchel (sp) off here - done quite a few - fads, tims, daimos, his own, etc not sure about lets thou
