i got some brakes from a member of this site, he told me the discs where nearly new.

if they arnt kept in a proper storage place and exposed to water/humid conditions etc then the water will get to them and start to go like a rusty colour

i dont meen they are rusty, they have got fuck all left on them, there is a lip a few mm big.

cos he said they were new, well only a few miles use., pads are new though, well look it.

theyare mint, i will clean them up first, but the disks and pads are brand new,
disks - 4 month old
pads - brand new

Get a measuring caliper or whatever they are called and see how thick the disks are... then some knowledgeable vauxhall person will be able to tell you how much life they have left in them.

Or even take it to kwik fit cause they do free brake checks... they'll have the information on thickness etc.

just measured them with my vernier. the discs are 21mm thick, new they are 24mm, so i owuld say they are finnished with.

Take it they are astra/cav 256 x24mm discs?
