i cant stand iti think its the biggest scam ever too - i cant justify paying 3 times to see one incredibly long and totally rediculous story, it just dosnt make sense - its not a trilogy its a long film in 3 parts, i would say a trilogy has 3 stories thatmay share elements but i watched the first film and was totally un satisfiedwith where it left it - i waslike the womanon 'dude wheres my car' AND THEN.....
i hate it so much - everyong just loves it cos the media tells them to - LOTR is great - why is it great? - its just crap!

The matrix isnt a trilogy then?
Or starwars?
OR BACK TO THE FUTURE..... which is the best trilogy ever.
What about the Godfather....
Your argument is pish, which leads me to believe your favourite film is undecided between spice world and the fast and the furious one and 2

i think what chaz is trying to say is that LOTR is one story about the goodies destoying the ring.. and the baddies trying to stop them. back to the future was 3 completly different stories, as it was with starwars and matrix is just one big storey 2.

Each back to the future followed on from the previous one directly, i fail to see how it isnt "one" story about time travel

Of course back to the future is one long story? Each one ends with the beginning of the next film!

as someone clearly pointed out bttf is 3 seperate films - u could watch one and none of the others and whilst not getting the whole benifit you would still enjoy the single film - this is the same with the other films you harpedon about except the matrix and i would agree withyou to a point - the first matrix was fine - it had a beginning middle and end that satsfied me but the second one was a bit crap as it didnt finnish properly - andif u did your research you would see that the directors wanted the 2nd and third films to be out at like the same time so you could watch both but the publisher said no.
star wars is the same too - each film is enjoyable as a single film in what ever order, you simply gain more of an insight as to whats going on if u watch them all.
so suck my plumbs with your 'your argument is crap' comments - nurr nurr nee nurr nurr

Don't know about everyone else but the reason I enjoyed it is because I'd actually spent the time to read the book and wanted to see if they could actually make a successful job of bringing it to life. Fair enough it's not everyone cup of tea but it certainly not crap, if it was it wouldn't make the money that it does
