Okay. I'm good with the format of plates with the format such as P714 SVF.
However with the 51 plates onwards I'm shite

Now what 2 letters can you have before the 51 bit?

e.g. I know of AU

A list would be great, as I wanna look at plates for when I get a newer car in the future.

I mean I would like a list of all the 2 letters you can have before.

e.g.

AU
EG
XX
RA

Therefore I can choose an ideal reg plate.

Cheers

wrong

heres an example kiddies

LD 51 ABC

LD = Represents which vehicle registering office registered the vehicle
51 = Represents when the vehicle was registered ie 5 = September to end of febuary and the 1 meant it was registered 2001-2002......so the 51 together meant it was registered between the beginning of september 2001 and the end of febuary 2002.

ABC = is what makes the plate unique.

clear as mud eh!

i dont agree, i thought it was
51 = sept 2001-march 2002
02 = march 2002- sept 2002
52 = sept 2002-march 2003
03 = march 2003-sept 2003
and so on and on and on...
i think u can choose any letters before the numbers...and the last 3 are random and u can choose those i think
i wanted JA51ON H......which was 1k

First letter is the area.
Second letter is one of several small areas within the larger area or a sub district.

then two numbers are age and final 3 letters are 3 random letters (not totally randum but they dont have any relevance.
