the corsas first day out with the gsi lump in, and it was good the exhaust wants refitting as it bangs on rear axle, and I need to sort the fan switch(I think) out, plus buy some antifreeze lol!
The sound with the pipercross induction kit on its samco trunk is awsome too!!! cheers Gary GSi just want a subtle gsi kit on it now, to go with the 110bhp rolling roaded lump

changed engine, gearbox, and MOST of the loom!!!! sxi loom is spread in 3 directions from the engine(roughly) thru grommets, gsi engine was only 1! had to take dash out n undo all loom inside, and remove old loom wire by wire, then set new loom to glovebox, and even add a wire for the diagnostics!!

What you rolling your eyes for. People have reasons for what they do. If you feel that it is easier to do a 2.0, you go fit your own.
Some peoples comments do make me laugh sometimes.

hmmmmm corsa gsi engine n box n wiring loom, 60k on clock full history still running on vaux oil etc, and ECU-cost 350,then I fit it, then compare to a valver, bout the same for a ragged lump(most the time) then id need engine mounts, power cap, driveshafts, zorst system bodginh together etc, I just didnt have the money for all that dude, and the sound of the 1.4/1.6 16v engines is sehr gut with a good induction system
Theres LOADS of valvers out there, so I wudnt ve bin doin anything new, I just wanted a pokey engine with a nice sound at a gud price-which I think is what I got

I would agree that they're not the most reliable engine!! But I wouldn't say they were rubbish.
