1.4 8v sri when i rev car to say 3000 revs in any gear i can hear water noise
Is it something to do with water pump!!! its not has loud when ur not reving it has fast
IS it a dear job to fix or should i just get a new water pump and see what happens

it might be one of ur belts either the timing belt or fan belt. I used to have this espicially in damp or wet weather. When i had mine serviced i changed both belts and now the noise has gone. Hope that helps. If i had to guess, from my experience, i think it would be ur fan belt

mine was like a wishy washy sound. it was hard to explain really but really did my head in and it increased with engine speed. With u saying it gets louder with engine speed my guess would be a belt. Im not saying im right its just what i think. I maybe wrong mate

i agree with whitter m8 the belts drive the water pump so it might have somethign to do with your belt i've got a 1.4 8v sri and i aint got that problem but i have got a engine prob thats buggin the hell outta me we thought the tappets were away now it's making a grinding noise at around 3500rpm and it cuts out on me when i floor it

my did this, and then head gasket blew, had it fixed and could still hear it, has gone away now
