JBLS 936..good choice? £49.99 at halfords they never have as good prices as these lol, anyway...can any1 tell me how to wire them up please? i gotta corsa C, do i chop the plugs off the rear speakers and just crimp the wires 2gether? which wire crimps to which 1? and which wire goes to what terminal?

some guys told me that the 6x9 will run fine with the HU, without amp, cos they wont sound much different with/without amp..are they right?

thats rubbish!

Stuff will always sound better with an amp!

The headunit will prob give you a max of 25rms

An amp will give you a hell of alot more

I would recommend to amp everyrthing

nope, it always sounds better with an amp, no matter what.

But yes, without is fine. But better with one. More power is always better.

you need to put them in your back shelf
mark the holes with the template you get with the 6x9s then jigsaw it out. Then cut the exisiting wires to the old speakers and extend them to the 6x9's. Put an inline connector on so you can stil remove your back shelf

Yer will sound loads better of you amp em, but will still work and be better than the crappy standard speakers just running it off the hu. I got mine just running off hu at the moment ans they seem ok for me. But might like mine up to my new amp once get my sub run in.

hey painzy, i went to my local ice dealer, they say alpine are crappy sounding HU, lol, and vibe are crappy subs and they sell the 10" jl audio sub like si's for £249 rip off what is the price of them u got?

most people who know anything about ICE use Alpine units,

They are really the industry standard i would say!

what head unit did they recommend?

I can get them for 129.99 brand new,

then you need an amp to power it,
