How easy would it be to convert a 1.5D Corsa to a TD?
What parts would I need to do the conversion? Has the TD got lowercompression pistons to the straight Diesel?

took me 2 days to convert mine, just need manifolds and turbo all the pipes, not too dificult

Are you pleased with the performance increase? Have you upped the boost of yours adam?
I was thinking of getting a 1.7 bottom end and dropping that in at the same time.

By the way Adam, did you ever turn up the pump before fitting the turbo?
Im thinking I could maybe squeeze a couple more horses out by doing that.

How do the diesels like performance airfilters? Ive put one on (pipercross) but havnt driven it since fitting (car is off the road for bodywork).
Im thinking if I can get a little more air in (filter) I can turn up the pump a little and hence get a bit more power for now.

How much did it cost you for the turbo and other gubbins?

why a 1.7 bottom end? why dont u just get a whole 1.7 td isuzu lump and put that in, its wat im going for. u also need a td fuel pump really for the conversion.

Can you not just tweak the Diesel pump instead of getting a TD one?

How much do these 1.7TD's go for?

the bottom end will not be any good with the 1.5 head, you cant use the same theory as on petrols to increase the displacement.

no u cannot tweek the non td fuel pump as it doesnt have an on boost fuel supply adjustment. u can only turn the fuelling up which will make it smoke like a bitch throughout the revs.

u can get the 1.7 tds engines for fuck all, depends on condition obvioulsy.
