right me dads after a new/6month/1 year old corsa C

it has to be 5 door

and it has to be a 1.7td

whats the best modle going? needs electrics, alloys and remote central locking

looking at between 7 - 8 grand trade/private

or what other cars would u recoment, turbo diseisel for same price?

yeah 1.7dti sxi is about the best but make sure you get the dti and not the di the dti is 10bhp more than the di

206 is a good idea, gonna have a look for one now, pug engines seem pretty ok

he has the rover 45 at the mo, 2.0turbo with intercooler, 115bhp and is quite fast for a derv and a big car

307 is also an option, along with golf, a3, skoda, etc but i think hes a vaux fan

don't get the 307 diesal it's gutless especialy the 1.4 tdi

yeah golfs are nice, he has an s reg at the moment so wants newer than that

golf 115bhp would probs be the best, he dont want over a group 12 insurance tho as hes a tight arse, hes on group 14 on the rover cos its top of the range!!!!!

PS - he wants the new corsa as hes seen one on here with c/c arches n bumpers and irmisher kit, he wants 16s for it too

they do a new one sri 1.7CDTI. thats 100bhp. dont know how much it costs though

all dervs are now 1.3cdti and on the web site they dont list the sri 1.3cdti

they do a 75bhp 1.3cdti in all models but the sri, but do a 100bhp 1.7cdti in the sri

the 1.7 cdti is the same engine as in the new honda civic, its an isuzu lump, the 1.3 is a fiat engine.

If that's true then tell him not to bother... we had a courtesy car civic 1.7 diesel... proper slow I tell thee, unresponsive too. Although the civic is a bigger car.

the 1.3 is good in gear and good for economy, but thats what it is designed for

nah he needs something that he can do 40k a year in, i told him he wants at least focus size

vibrio, he pays less than 250 insurance on a 2.0 turbo rover with all electrics etc, has rac full cover, contents and work insurance, his cd player etc covered and he does high mileage

whats wrong with that
