Been thinking abut buying a new mixer for my decks for aaaages, anyway, finally went out and bought one today 
Tis a Vestax PCV-275, and I'm dead chuffed with it 
It's a 3 channel jobby, so I've got room for my CD player when I decide to get it too, plus much better features than my previous crappy old mixer.
Oh, and heres a pic of my rip off priced headphones too, just for good measure
Just thought I'd share that with you!

Does seem pretty good so far, haven't reall had a decent go on it yet though, but first impressions are very promising
Oh and Ned, you don't know what else I paid for today... 
Mikey - how you find mixing with the CD's? I don't think it'll replace vinyl for awhile yet, but will probably get a CDJ1000 sometime next year.

i think u can do more wid cd's, if u heard ma stuff u wud i agree (blowing ma own trumpet)
If u learn to mix wid Decks, then u should find using CD's piss easy, I'm starting mmesing wid MP3 controllers, Investin in a NuMark Multimedia controller soon as i get the cash

Yeah I've played a lil with CD's, just not as much as vinyl.
TBH I've pretty much learnt whats what with vinyl already, just refining it really which to be fair, can take years.

trouble wid the scene at the moment, is that most places where work is available decks are not an opition, i know for a fack, Toppers & Revoultion do not have decks, (my last 2 residencies)
Wat i'm trying to say is that clubs @ the moment buy cd players because its alot cheaper than buying decent set of decks
