what do u have 2 do this? cos ive jsut got a k&n and my mates told me i need to reset my ecu, he said sumffin bout disconnecting the battery.
can any1 help?

use the search function, u disconnect battery for 1hours, or even overnight

a myth i reckon, ive tryed it several times, not a single bit of difference, and so has several mates, no difference

it depends on how new your car is on the new stuff the block lern memorys (eg fueling, timing and tickover) have to b reset using tech 2 at your vauxhall dealer. i did my w reg 1.6 sport like that at work the other week after puting my k&n in a box and seamed to make a difference.

disconnect it for about 10-15 mins then ur car will have to "learn" what fuel / air intake it needs to idle corectly
