fitting kits for a 1.4i 16v to a 2.0i 16v?

a friend of mine is selling her engine to me for £650, wit cams, chip and a couple of other bits! no gear box tho!

what will i need etc? how long does it routhly take to do a conversion cause i need to know how long i will be without my car!

in general how much does it all cost?

i think pvd do a fitting kit for around £150 but i'm not sure of the total cost including gear box etc. go to a scrappy or have a look in the free ads if anyone is selling bits!

erm fitting kit is more like 600

£575 from pvd. you may also need bodywork mount aswell. thats listed at £100.

engine seems abit pricey to say you have not gearbox tho'.

well it was only 400 quid but for another 250 she is gonna add and fit the chip and cams! that seem about right?

well if she an add a chip and fits cams ask her waht to do i am sure she will know how to do an engine swap

dont forget to book in a rolling road setup and tune afterwards to get them cams and chip funning sweet, my mate just found out that his 2.0 was pinking badly and ifit wasnt for the forged pistons he would have melted em.

also dont give it stick for the first month. dont wanna tear a mount now.

she didnt do the engine swap, i think she got v-tuning to do it!!!!

i'm not gonna give it stick that much anyway cause i drive the car to work every day which takes me half an hour! and i use up enuff petrol on a 1.4!!!!

how much is a rolling road tuning session?
