anyone here done it with standard arches?

my cars only lowered about 30-35mmish.

the wheels i wannaget are 7x18 et49.

any first hand experience would be mint, i.e. what u had to do, drivability, lock to lock, can you carry passengers etc etc

7x18 should be ok, not much bigger than 17's really. Rears will have to be de-bolted. all depends on how low your car sits.

i had a quick chat with the people at r-tech about this, and they said that its been done before but you'll need to do some work on the arches etc. couldn't be arsed with it in the end so just stuck to 17's. cheaper wheels, cheaper tyres etc.

i wouldnt go too low with 18's on, you'll probably find that you'll get scrubbage.

7.5x18 ET40 standard sxi height and only catches the plastic arch slightly over heavy bumps, go for ET42 and you should be fine. i'm planning on lowering mine 15mm on the sri springs, the back sits pretty good at the mo, front is a tiny bit high, i'll get pics later this week if my car ever returns.

No you'll need et45 or less as et49 you will have the wheel scrubbing on the inside

Agreed - there isn't the caliper clearance with et49 rims

I'd go for somewhere around et42 TBH
