the gains on the amp, basically, dont crank them right up, as the amp is matched and over rated to the speakers which you have.

Sorry for the not so quick reply.

Well to match gains perfectly you would use an osscilloscope, most people dont need to do that.

You will know what to do when you install the amp.

but then again, i was thinking today, i am gonna get a sub soon, so i mayaswell get sub and amp, take the 6x9's out, and get a small amp for the dopor speakerS??

or should i not do that?

yea mate...
go for the sub'n'amp and amp for comps option.
Although it all depends what you budget is. If you have 370 squid to spare you could sort it all out - ie: from caraudiodirect.com, you can get the rockford sub kit for £199 and the Phoenix Gold R2.52 amp (for comps) then it leaves you with 30 quid to spend on cables(RCA's, speaker, Power)/Fuse Holders etc etc

shall i not get a cheaper amp for the front??

some of them say 60rms at 4ohm and then 100rms at 2ohm, how do i run them at 2ohm and 4 ohm?

i dont THINK its possible to do it, since you need a 2ohm load and you do that by wacking the comps in a serial(?) connection (ie: + of one goes to - of other speaker and then you wire the +/- to the amp). Yet you will only get one channel this way.
(^^ the above may not be correct, so can someone else back it up etc if it is/isnt )

As for 4ohm, your comps should be 4ohm's already (check manual etc) and it would be a simple case of wiring each channel (left & right) to the amp and your sorted

To be honest mate, just stick with a 4ohm load....even if it is possible to do a 2ohm load and have both channels it'll be more work than before

Dom

edit: as for cheaper amp mate, what amp have you got in mind for the fronts?

yea looks like an alright amp, you might wanna look up some reviews first though mate
although if you can afford to put a little more in, then i would...although like said before, if you get an amp thats throwing out 100wRMS etc (higher than waht you want) then turn down the gains on the amp a little..(the best way would be use a multimeter to measure the output etc).
