I aint got no security software at all on this pc and i better get some!
What do people recommend?
Also is there any software out there now that can scan you pc and check for errors and fix them? i used to have a program called first aid 98 but that was 5 years ago and i need an upto date one

try www.bigfix.com that will search for updates and www.pcpitstop.com for search things. If ya want free avg and firewall try www.grisift.com and www.sygate.com for fire wall. Goto www.pcpitstop.com also for antio virus advice and click on forum for antivirus and spywatre

I was recently in thr same situation, downloaded Norton anti virus from kaza, only trouble was i recieved 2 viruses with it!!! Managed 2 eliminate them and all is good

i did originally have NAV but found out its same as AVG just uses up more disk space so went for avg

if u wanna buy a firewall, most are pretty good so go for whatever u like, ive got Trend Micro PC-cillen (anti-virus and firewall) only because my mate whos a pc engineer highly recomends it and uses it for all his clients

either norton or zonealarm is good, zonealarm is free for personal use, so has the edge over norton
as for antivirus, norton, mcafee or avg
