Me corsa has nearly gone and im looking at turbos. Ive rounded it down to two i would like to purchase, Ive got around £4000, either R5 GTT or Toyota MR2 twin entry turbo.

I thinks the MR2 is on top at the moment, more reliable, and ive got some good plans for it. But ive always liked GTT's.

What do we all reckon?

Can you afford to run the MR2 turbo? They are not cheap to own. If you can then get the MR2, GTT's are past their best.

Yea i can afford to run it, and ive seen a few cheap to pick up, but i dnt no alot about them really.

Getting a cheap Jap Turbo is not a good plan, you should be able to get a rev1 or 2 for 4K, spend all of it on the car though. Then you can look forward to 15mpg!

Thats the problem, ive bin recommended a MR2 as im looking for sumthin with a turbo, and i havnt found a decent turbo car yet. So wot do you reckon it isnt worth bothering or....?

They are a performance bargin but you also have to understand it cost nearly 30K new so there are some expensive parts on it! Maybe worth going over to http://www.imoc.co.uk there is a link on the left called '2 Mart' they have some nice cars for sale by enthusiasts at good prices. You'll definately be able to get an early MR2 for 4K in nice condition.
Beats buying a V6 vectra anyway!

i dunno how ppl can fit in mr2's
would be very uncomfortable driving in it for more than 5mins.
