i just bought some 6x9's but when i crank up the volume the head unit just goes off and comes back on like a power cut, ive got an alpine CDA-9815rb, ive been told to wire it up directly to the battery, is this right?

it will be to do with amp in the headunit.basically it carn't handle the speakers so it cuts out.you would be better off getting a amp
