Well... just had my M reg 1.4 8v corsa in the garage to have the head gasket replaced again after the first time about 35 000miles ago roughly.
Its been losing the whole coolant tank of water about every 100 miles. So the mechanic checked the head and he said it looked alright and just replaced the head gasket as that was cracked.
2 weeks have passed and yet again the coolant tank is empty! so obviously the problem is something else. I think the mechanic is basically going to recommend getting a replacement head all together.
Anyone else had any similar problems?
I heard a slight hissing coming from the coolant tank after a short drive the other day. No sign of leaking coolant from the tank though.

The mechanic got the head skimmed the first time he changed the head gasket (about 30 000 miles ago). He took the head of this time and got it checked and it siad it was alright and didn't need skimming again. Although he didn't do a pressure test. Basically he is going to adivse to get another head I reckon

i had hissing noise from my coolant tank once when my head gasket went, so maybe get someone else to do it & say you want the head skimming regardless!!
