Has any one got a diagram of the wires for a corsa b mfd display?
or a list of what each wire does!
just really need to know which is for the live, earth, perm feed, etc AND just a list of the radio ones, dont need to know what they do as they will be removed from it!

The red is a 20a fused permanent live and the Black is a 10a fused ignition live.
Red/Grey
Brown/Red
Brown/Grey
Brown/Black
^^ all for standard vauxhall headunit display, not usable if you are using an aftermarket headunit.
Blue/Red is from the speedo on the dash
Grey/Black and Grey/Green are from the light switch. The Grey/Black wire controls the dimming on the display when you turn the lights on. The Grey/Green is the supply from the MFD which goes to a variable resistor when the lights are switched on which in turn sends current via the Grey/Black to dim the display (phew)
Blue and Blue/White are for the temperature sensor and your Brown is the ground.

The MFD is also part of a diagnostic system. When you hold both buttons down while driving on the MFD it will tell you some information and give you a speed, I still dont know why it doesnt give you a speed above 55kmh.
The wire also goes to other places such as the ABS system

any way you could programme this so that it shows you the speed constantly, and in mph not kph, it just did it for about 5 secs for me. and also wot is the screen shown after allabout? Is it just lighting up all possible spaces so u can check they r working.
can u get it to show you anything else, or just speed

not particularly, pernament live, ignition live and earth. Then a wire to temp. sensor and a wire back.
You dont need the other wires it just means it wont dim, come on when ignition is off yet lights r on, or show the speed.

M-Tec make a thingy that displays a load of stuff, speed included, on the MFD. Unfortuatly it only shows speeds in Km/h...
