i just bought 1 from www.dcdezign.com, its well cheap at only 150 notes, heard its good quality too only downside is its not thatcham rated, they can supply it with a thatch 2 immobiliser for an extra 60, i like you was planning to do it myself but when it came there were so many wires compared to a normal alarm i got as far as fitting the siren and led and gave up. Spoke to my guy who supplies my parts normally n he reckons its a 5 hour job so am paying him 50 to fit it for me. If you want the manual to my alarm follow this link http://www.dcdezign.com/alarm_manual.pdf you can decide for yourself

all fitting of cat 1 alarms, intellestart etc should be left to approved fitters as then you will get the discount on your insurance besides its not a simple job

Intellistart isn't thatcham approved, so you don't get discount on your insurance...

Nah dude, the Clifford Concept 500 & 600 are both Thatcham Category 1 approved, and both have Blackjax as a standard feature, so that can't be right...

Blackjax is a anti car hijacking feature, it does not make it a non thatcham unit.

Clifford 500 & 600 are both Thatcham Cat 1 units.
