im lookin for a head unit for bout 400 quid. can't decide between an alpine one and pioneer one. alpine has got 60w x4ch, pioneer has got 50w x4ch. but pionner has 3 x 6.5v pre-outs whereas alpine has got 3 x 4v pre-outs.
help!!

Think most r gonna recommend Alpine mate. Im an Alpine headunit man after having Kenwood and Pioneer in the past.

End of the day its your £400 and its personnal opinion but my money would be with a trick Alpine unit!!

Love the sound control their headunits give ya

Go for the pioneer DEH-P7600, i think it the best all rounder and has some mad functions that you dont find on most head units. The thing can detect the surface of the road and if its rough ride the head unit will turn its self up. Accompany this with front coaxials and a pair of 6x9s and your sorted.

i have pioneer and its quality

but on otherhand never had alpine

i would go for the pioneer, nothing against alpine but pioneer are the headunits for me. Ive got a dex p9r. its spot on. i wouldnt worry about the amp ratings on the headunit because they are all max figures, so 60w is more like 20w rms
