I recently paid £1300 for one (well, the misses did) After I bought it I did a national search on autotrader and it turned up a load for less than a grand. Depends what exactly your after and time and place of it.

wel im sick of my 1.2 8v being so slow and it needs lot of work as the previous owner had never heard of the process cleaning your car(TOSSER) i just cant be arsed!

I bought a 1.4 16v on an N reg
62,000miles, 1 female owner from new, Bought it for £800
radiator pipe had burst and cooked the head, i told her it was gonna be a new engine, but I would take it off her hands
