When the bloke fitted it he said the cat had bin cut short... the bugger now catches on the rear suspension or summat and is wonky outa the bumper... its a sportex cat back btw, cant afford a new un, so ne suggestions

if the pipework clanks against the rear axle, then you'll need to fit some shorter exhaust rubber to raise it up a little

i don't think the exhaust should be that close to the suspension.
you sure thats what is catching?

It'll either be the rear beam or the trailing arm, you either need to move the pipe further in or out and modify* the box so it'll clear the trailing arm.
* modify - hit with a hammer.

If you're going to shape the box you'll need to take it off. I'd see if you can sort it with the hangers first.
Is the problem worse with weight in the back?

ooh yes, loads worse... kind of a vibrating rattly noise with a reassuring clunk over the bumps, not even lowered yet... will it get worse then?

just a thought its not the exhaust clamp is it?? when i had mine fitted it did that and i found out the exhaust fitter put the u clamp on the wrong way up!

not the clamp no... get a hand this weekend we'll take a hacksaw, hammer, crowbar maybe even a blowtorch to it till it behaves itself
