F28 purely for the fact ya get 6 gears, and if ya start using phase 2-3 on the engine this gear box will handle the power

as mentioned b4 it depends how mad you want to go on tunning but the f20 is used in the majority of conversions and handles the torque fine

people have run F20 and F16 on Lets for years so dont let people say they will not last, as most of the people who tell you that havent even driven a LET or even owed one; to even know.
2 examples
Corsa 2.1 turbo 280bhp+ running F20 (about 12months+ now)
Nova 2.5 V6 with F16 gearbox (about 2 years)
non have had any problems at all with there gearboxs, Vauxhall are not going to name them by the MAX they can take, a F20 can take alot more then 200lb/ft they just set it at that so they last.........
i would say the F28 reason being when your on the motorway with a F20 and stilling around 70mph you are just hitting boost in 5th, which means if u have say a 300mile trip the engine will be boosting for them 300miles which in a corsa make the engine run very very hot which isent a good things for heat gaskets , but with F28 in 6th on motorway 70mph is at 2000 revs and is under boost to heat isent a problem.
a F20 is fine for everyday trips around town etc and will work out alot cheaper BUT if your going to use the car for motorway use then F28 is the only way to be

Some people eat F20's with standard lets. Just keep chaning them because they are readily available and cheap. If your not the type of person who can do the work yourself I wouldn't have an F20.
It also depends how you drive it, and what condition F20 you get.
The lack of traction would help save the box, fitting a diff or slicks would help kill it.
