I have a corsa sri 1.4 8v and the engine mite be on the way out.

So if i wanted to replace it could i use the engine from a corsa sport 1.4 16v

and do i need anything else apart from the engine and loom? otherwise if i put a 1.6 16v in what things will i need to do this and would the engine bay need strengthening?

Great ive just been reading an old thread about this so all i would need is 1.6 16v engine and ecu? the loom wouldnt need swapping?

not sure on the 8v SRi, but the 16v's are ok

Eye, will be straight swap. You will need the loom for the engine. It only wires and every connection is different so you can't get it wrong
