my plate at the mo reads
YJ52 GOX
i wana get a personal one now and was looking at the DVLA site.
Saw T900 RED
just wondered if i can use that plate because it dont start with the same letter.

That plate will be fine. As long as its not a newer reg than the 1 on the car.

you're car is on a 52 plate, you're not allowed anything newwer than that ie. 53, 04, etc

thats a T plate i.e. older than a 52 so its ok.

we're on the new system now. 51, 02, 52, 03, 53, 04 etc.
before it was the first letter that says how old the car reg is, before that was the last letter that says how old.
eg. w345 hbg is year 2000
old reg was things like tec 352t t being what ever year.
made those numbers up btw.

Yes mate its the "52" in your plate that specifies the age.
