Your better off with a single 'sausage' filter compared to individual sock filters.

True, but they're more money and a bit of hassle with tight fitments.

Ideally PX600 or if that's tight then PX500.

Failing that, trumpet socks

Like this, a good inch between the end of the trumpets and the filter, and as much space as poss between filter and bulkhead.

About £60, www.provenproducts.co.uk

You have a backing plate, which has the holes for the tb's in it, and is bolted between the tb's and the trumpets. Can can then see the 3 brass coloured almost wing nut things in the middle and either corner on the front edge, just above the fuel rail that secure the filter to the backing plate.

You after a dome filter you tell them the trumpet length you run and they will get you the most approiate sized one, think they are £75 now, on a corsa both 2L and 1.6/1.4 think it's a 60mm size, anyway it's a bloodly tight fit

Yeah, phone or email them.

I had 90mm trumpets.

The blanking plate they supplied me was blank, so I had to cut it myself, not sure if they can supply pre cut ones. They should have a standard spacing the same as the twin carbs.

Depending on the pattern of your throttle bodies, you might be able to get an off the shelf baseplate.
Pipercross have patterns for a fair few (not going to attempt counting) so I'd have thought your TBs would be fairly standard.

Once you've got the baseplate, you need to work out how much space you've got around the trumpets (allowing for a few cm's clearance on the inside of the dome so the trumpets aren't touching the filter).
Measure width, height and depth and give these to whoever you're buying the filter kit from (Proven Products, Jondel, Demon Tweeks, Motech, etc.).

so i need to go and measure the height of my trumpets, and the spacing of them? what about the positions of the mounting screws where the trumpets bolt onto the engine, im assuming the plate goes between there

We had the orange 206 on throttle bodies over today and space behind the radiator was very tight, so make sure that at the end of the trumpets you've got 25mm for clearance on the trumpet, then any clearance needed for the dome filter.

We also do a flat filter which is normally a bit shallower so you could fit that in a bit easier.

For the baseplates, you might be best finding out what pattern the trumpets are in. If the mounting dimensions are in a standard DCOE or DHLA pattern you can just choose an off the shelf baseplate to suit.
Otherwise, get a blank and make it up yourself, which isn't difficult either.

What throttle bodies do you have?

As far as I know all parallel types will have the same spacing as twin carbs. Your best off phoning whoever your going to buy them off and asking what options there are.

The backing plate goes between throttle body and trumpet.

got SBD DTH taper throttle bodies, which currently have 2.5 sock filters as it seemed to suck the top off one and block the throttle open which was interesting at 11:30pm amongst granny-ville

But yeah, dome filters look cool - but custom airboxes are sooo much better
Especially if you have carbon fibre to play with ...
