is 380 miles from 47 quid any good on my 1.4 16v??

also on morning one of my belts squeals like a bitch for a few miles, which one will this be?

Fan belt (the alternator or auxilliary belt as some call it) usually causes a screeching noise when it's slipping

Easy to change it!

Oh and your fuel econony's better than my 1.2 8v!

You can just tighten the alternator belt, you undo the top nut that is fitted to the arc shaped piece of metal, get somone to rock the laternator towards the bulkhead and re-tighten the nut. If it appears badly worn then replace it asap as a broke alternator belt will mean your car will stop running. They are about £3... 380 iles is good. I got 200 on my 1.2 8v

It's opposite the spring sealed compression expansion valve stopper.

380 miles from £47 isn't great, depends how you've been driving it. If fairly gently out of town then its crap, if ragging it around town its not so bad.

My misses would do 500 miles from £47 easily in her 8v Sri with combined driving.

Have you been filling up, driving until almost empty and filling up? Noting the cost of the refil?

filling full from when red light comes on, and then back down to red light

my fuel tank holds 27/28 quids worth from the red light

auto tensioner on a 1.4 16v lump, get a new belt on it
