erm no it doesnt come with cables. i need one to run from set top box, to router, to ps2, i already have a 40m one for my pc

Crossover cable would be from the PC directly to the PS2, or another PC.
My PS2 uses a patch cable (non-crossover) between it and my switch. And mine came with a patch cable too, so I'm certain you need a patch if it's from router to PS2.

i would have gone with a crossover because its more useful to have. But a straight through would be alright, the router will have a an auto-detection nic on it anyways, so it will sort it all out etc

wel the cables will only eva b used for this so no point in spending anything extra. jus need to get the adapter now

If you're buying the PS2 network adapter brand new, it should come with the proper cable, allbeit it only about a metre of it though.

what do connections look like on the end?
if they are just normal patch panel leads i have a load in ma van from work , if you need a long one ill send you one bud

there jus the normal network cables mate. i got a long 20/40metre one when ntl set it all up4 me, so that runs from router downstairs to pc upstairs. router is in same cabinet as ps2/xbox/cable/video etc so no need for long cables. cheers anyway tho
