i was on my way home from leeds today and got the usual problems with my car loosing power at high ends but as i changed the cd over, i noticed a tapping sound, slower pace at low revs and then faster pace at higher revs.
could this be the tappets?
how much normally would they cost to get fixed?

could be the timing chain

the timing chain makes a noise but seein as ive had the poxy three cynlinder for a while now its never made this much noise.
