and

there would be no real difference, you can get either, but u may notice the sound is different.

spend the £100 a viper costs on a 1.4 8v SRi engine.

I'd go for the vector, even if costs aren't an issue.
The Viper wouldn't sound as good as the vector and you're certainly not going to get any more performance with the Viper on the 1.2 engine.
Spend an extra tenner and get the XL cone from Rimstyle. It's a flat top instead of the vector cone, but the filter is about 50% bigger than the normal induction kit
