thanks a lot for your advice, all i want is a loud , bassy system and after listen to my mates explods i thought i should get them, but four, lol just to beat him 
i am on a bit of a tight budget as well so i cant affod loads and loads of expensive ice, so i though sony was the best and cheapest for me !! ??

If you run JBL and Sony stuff it will break. My JBL amp burnt out because it got too hot, my Sony head unit is fucked because of poor quality construction and my JBL compnents set on fire because they set on fire...

Though, for example, Audison stuff isn't expensive in comparison to similar quality stuff, but it's great!

I have 2 12" jls off a 500 watt rms (250 to each sub) amp & they piss all over my mate's 2 xplods which r off an xplod monoblock (im ashamed 2 admit i got a mate with an xplod install)
but if u prefer sony, then im sure everyone will be pissin all over ur system too.

the sony subs are what? £50 each?
Thats £200 for a great quality sub, look at SPL Dynamics or Digital Designs, along with the other subs which have been listed already.
